PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferroelectric device provided with a function of protecting stored data in a memory cell from an unexpected unstable power source voltage that occurs at any of times when the power is supplied, when the power is disconnected and when data are read or written and with a function of reducing power consumption when the data are read or written. SOLUTION: A short circuit 120 that operates at any of the times when the power is supplied, when the power is disconnected and after the data are read or written is used to make all of a selection word voltage feeding line 130, a non-selection word voltage feeding line 140, a selection bit voltage feeding line 150 and a non-selection bit voltage feeding line 160 shirt-circuit or makes the non-selection word voltage feeding line 140 and the non-selection bit voltage feeding line 160 shirt-circuit.
