<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe and secure insect-controlling/repelling agent for vegetables composed solely of natural components and enabling the distribution of vegetables and fruits before harvest/shipping without applying pesticides, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The insect-controlling/repelling agent for vegetables is produced by decocting Guinea pepper and mixing the obtained liquid extract simultaneously or separately with two or more materials selected from by-product of molasses, bamboo vinegar, grapefruit seed, Wasabi (Japanese horse-radish), Shochu (Japanese distilled spirit) and/or garlic.
