摘要 A method of using hop acids as an antimicrobial agent for a food processing facility is described including delivering the hop acids in a biodegradable detergent for use in sanitizing a refrigerated food processing facility. The hop acids are mixed with the biodegradable detergent in an amount to inhibit certain types of microbial organisms. This method is particularly effective in combating Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocytogenes, two prevalent food pathogens.
