PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid achromatic optical lens and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This is an optical lens including a first optical member with a low refractive index, and a second optical member with a high refractive index which is embedded at a concave part formed inside the first optical member with a low refractive index and which has a diffraction surface formed having a plurality of pitches at a refraction surface contacting the first optical member. This manufacturing method of an optical lens includes a first phase where the profile of a diffraction surface having a plurality of pitches is formed on a molding die having a profile of the refraction surface, a second phase where a concave part having a diffraction surface at the first optical member with a low refractive index by the molding die is formed, and a third phase where the second optical member is formed by grinding the surface of the high refractive index after coating the concave part with a material with a high refractive index. By doing this, an optical lens with high numerical aperture whose chromatic aberration is removed can be provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
