PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack in which the batteries 1 in the rack 2 are not damaged even if a large force is inflicted from the outside and the case 3 is distorted or bent, by housing the rack 2 storing the batteries 1 in the case 3 by providing a gap S in the surroundings on the sides. SOLUTION: The rack 2 made of a metal which has a plurality of steps of shelves on the shelf plate 2c between the side boards 2a, 2b and on the bottom board 2e, and a rack 2 which on respective shelf batteries 1 are stored, is housed in a case 3 made of a resin covering at least the bottom face and the surrounding side faces, by providing a gap S on the surroundings on the sides excluding the ceiling plate 2d and the bottom board 2e on the upper and lower ends of the rack 2.
