PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily select and use necessary explanation information even when the explanation information of a plurality of meanings of words is present with respect to a title word. SOLUTION: A communication electronic dictionary 10 is provided with dictionary data 22b for recording explanation information classified for every classification information of at least one meaning of word corresponding to title word information. The communication electronic dictionary 10 receives the title word information being the retrieval result of another communication electronic dictionary 10 and the classification information of the meaning of word from electronic equipment, and records it as group history data 22e, and executes list display at a display part 27. When the set of any title word and the classification information of the meaning of word is selected from the list display, the explanation information recorded in the dictionary data 22b corresponding to the set of the title word and the classification information of the meaning of word is displayed.
