A pressure-sensitive sensor (17) comprising a central electrode (45), a composite piezoelectric layer (49) surrounding the central electrode substantially concentrically, an outer electrode (47) covering the outside of the composite piezoelectric layer (49), a coating layer (51) covering the outside of the outer electrode (47), and an elastic trimming material (35) covering the circumference thereof, in which reliability is enhanced by selecting the material of the coating layer to enhance thermal insulation thereby suppressing output due to pyroelectric effect and in which an output signal is delivered to each electrode (45, 47) through deformation of the composite piezoelectric layer (49) due to an external pressure, wherein erroneous operation due to pyroelectric effect is suppressed by covering the elastic trimming material (35) with a heat insulating means composed of foamable synthetic resin. The heat insulating means may be formed to cover the ordinary coating layer (51) of vinyl chloride, or to cover a coating layer (51f) of foamable synthetic resin exhibiting excellent heat insulation, or the heat insulating means may also serve as the coating layer.
