The connector (1) comprises two opposite plates (4,5), which are connected to each other by a screw (6) and an intermediate piece (7). A projecting spacer is arranged on the intermediate piece, between the outer edges (8) of the plates. The spacer can be inserted between two opposite wall sections (22) for supporting the profiles (2,3). An Independent claim is also included for the connecting arrangement.
