PURPOSE: A support structure of hinge type cover is provided to support an open state and a close state of a hinge type cover by using an elastic member moving according to the swiveling movement of the hinge type cover. CONSTITUTION: A funnel-shaped supporting space(57), having a short side(b) and a long side(a), is formed on the side of a case(50) penetrated by hinge axis(70). The direction of the short arm of the supporting space(57) is parallel with the longitudinal direction of the hinge axis(70). The lower end of an elastic member(80) is inserted into the lower end of the supporting space(57). The upper end side of the elastic member(80) is mounted in a swivellable manner in the direction of the long side(a) of the supporting space(57). A supporting projection(65), elastic-supported by elastic member(80), is formed by inserting the lower end into the upper end of the elastic member(80) on the lower surface of the cover(60). When the cover is in horizontal state and vertical state, the supporting projection(65) and the other end side of the cover are located in the opposite direction.
