PURPOSE: An apparatus for polishing chestnut is provided, thereby automatically harvesting chestnuts from chestnut burs, effectively separating the outer skin from the inner skin of chestnuts, storing the chestnuts at room temperature, and preventing the formation of buds from the chestnuts during storage period. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for polishing chestnut comprises a chestnut bur removing device and a chestnut outer and inner skin removing device, wherein the chestnut bur removing device comprises two chestnut bur filtering rotation bars which are installed in each rotation shaft supporter and of which rotation shafts are rotated in the opposite direction together, a power supplying rotation wheel(15) which is installed in the rotation shafts, a chestnut bur collecting box(15) which is detachably installed, a chestnut bur filtering device cover which is installed in the top and both sides of the chestnut bur removing device, a chestnut transferring conveyer/chestnuts dropping device with a plurality of roller bars, a chestnut conveyer with a plurality of roller bars which are positioned at close distances; and the chestnut outer and inner skin removing device comprises a dried chestnut inlet(12), a chestnut outer and inner skin removing spiral rotating body which is connected to the dried chestnut inlet(12) and is installed within the chestnut transferring area, a power supplying rotation wheel(16) which is installed in the spiral rotation shaft(6) of the chestnut outer and inner skin removing spiral rotating body, a filtering sieve(20), a chestnut outer and inner skin collecting box(17) which is positioned under the filtering sieve(20), a chestnut collecting box(18) which is installed in the end of the filtering sieve(20), and a partition(11) between a chestnut bur inlet(9) and the dried chestnut inlet(12).
