The detector has an antenna (13) formed with N loops and M turns, where M and N are an integer greater than or equal to one. The turns are made up of complementary segments (12) that extend parallely in difference planes. Each segment has an end connected with another segment by a link (14) forming a unique loop presenting the turns. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a system for identifying an article (b) a method for fabricating a detector.
