PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-band patch antenna which can transmit and receive signal waves of two kinds of frequency bands, and can be reduced in size and thickness. SOLUTION: The patch antenna 10 is provided with a patch electrode 12 having an extending portion 13 sandwiched by a pair of openings 14, a dielectric substrate 11 provided with this electrode 12 on its one surface, and a grounding conductor 15 provided on a position opposing at least the electrode 12 via the substrate 11. The antenna 10 is constituted so that a first high-frequency signal for oscillating a strip-like region 12a from a tip of the portion 13 and the other end and a second high-frequency signal for oscillating a strip-like region 12b not including the region 12a with a frequency higher than the first high-frequency signal are selectively fed to the electrode 12.
