PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag apparatus where an air bag main body is prevented from being obstructive when shrinking it and its miniaturization is realized. SOLUTION: The air bag apparatus is provided with the air bag main body 21 equipped with an air supply and exhaust opening 23. Air is supplied to and exhausted from the air bag main body 21 through the opening 23 to swell/shrink the air bag main body 21. The air bag main body 21 is folded at an intermediate part 22 to be divided into a first bag part 24 and a second bag part 25.
