COMMUNICATION DEVICE, COMMUNICATION METHOD, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN EXTERNAL/LOCAL COMMUNICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a global external device to set up a communication path for a local communication device having no global communication address to maintain communications between the external device and the local communication device.

SOLUTION: A communication repeater system is installed between the external device and the local communication device. The communication repeater system is equipped with a configuration definition table which correlates a symbolic identifier with the local communication device, a communication path setting means which sets up a local communication path to the destination local communication device in the form corresponding to a global communication path from the external device in accordance with destination path information received from the external device, a communication path corresponding table which holds a correspondence relation between the global communication path and the local communication path, and a data relay means which relays data in accordance with the communication path corresponding table.
