PURIFYING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXHAUST GAS OF DIESEL ENGINE FOR VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify exhaust gas of a diesel engine of a vessel with a device small in size and having high efficiency.

SOLUTION: The purifying device is structured to purify exhaust gas of the diesel engine for a vessel by making exhaust gas contact sea water drop particles. The purifying device has a cleaning tower connected to an exhaust gas pipe, a plurality of injection nozzles for injecting atomized sea water, and a receiving vessel connected to the cleaning tower for receiving liquid waste dropping from the cleaning tower provided with outlet piping for discharging exhaust gas passing through a space part and the cleaning tower. The plurality of injection nozzles are arranged near the entrance of exhaust gas to inject sea water particles in the same direction as the exhaust gas flow with a predetermined angle with regard to the exhaust gas flow direction.
