PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocationic polymerization initiator composition having high sensitivity to visual light, useful for dental use and developing sufficiently high curing rate and cure depth by the light irradiation for a short period. SOLUTION: The initiator composition contains (A) a photo-acid generator generating an acid by light irradiation such as a diaryl iodonium salt compound, a sulfonium salt compound, a sulfonic acid ester compound and a halomethyl-substituted-s-triazine derivative and (B) a condensed polycyclic aromatic compound having a molecular structure containing a non-aromatic ring condensed to the condensed polycyclic aromatic ring, provided that at least one of atoms constituting the non-aromatic ring directly bonded to an atom shared by the condensed polycyclic aromatic ring and the non-aromatic ring is a saturated carbon atom having at least one hydrogen atom, such as 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthacene and 1,2-dihydroaceanthrylene.
