PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an owner of a portable terminal for a mobile object to directly know, through the portable terminal for the mobile object, detailed information of a communication area such as an area of a low electric field intensity level or an uncommunicable area. SOLUTION: The portable terminal for the mobile object is provided with a means for detecting location information using a method such as obtaining absolute location information from a GPS, a means for measuring an electric field intensity when the detected location information indicates a set location determined on automatic field intensity measuring conditions set by the owner, and a means for storing the measured electric field intensity data together with the location information.
