<p>A paper or carton-making assembly has a head tank (4) from which a fibre suspension is discharged by a linear jet (5) onto a moving belt (8). The suspension impinges on the belt along a transverse line as directed by the jet. The angle at which the jet impinges on the jet (5) is adjustable. The paper forming station (7) is a blade-roll former, roll-blade former or an elongated sieve former or a hybrid unit. The jet angle adjustment mechanism presents the jet or jets at a uniform angle across the entire width of the belt. The line of impingement can be moved forwards or back.</p> |
