PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an innovative hinge device of high commercial value, and an electronic apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: In this hinge device for pivoting a first member 1 and a second member 2, a first connection body 3 having a shaft 5 is mounted on one of the first member and the second member, a second connection body 4 having a bearing hole part 6 for bearing the shaft part 5, is mounted on the other member, and the first connection body and the second connection body are relatively rotatably connected through the shaft part to be relatively rotated in both of left and right directions. Further a mechanism 7 for inhibiting the excess rotation of the first member in the left and right directions to the second member, is mounted. This inhibiting mechanism comprises a first butting locking mechanism 9 for allowing the first connection body and the second connection body to corotate, and a second butting locking mechanism 10 for inhibiting the corotation.
