PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of parts and to make the assembly work more efficient for an optical head guide rod height adjusting mechanism of an optical disk device. SOLUTION: A column shaped height adjusting section 64 is formed on a metallic base plate 33 by outsert molding. The section 64 is made freely rotative around a center line 70. The section 64 is provided with a height adjusting cam 65 which is made of top and bottom two stage flange sections 65a and 65b and a groove section 65c which exists between the sections 65a and 65b and is tilted. A tip section 41b of the X1 side of a guide rod 41 is engaged with the section 65c and held by the sections 65a and 65b. When the section 64 is appropriately turned, the height of the section 41b of the rod 41 is adjusted. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
