PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm device capable of improving the efficiency of checking work. SOLUTION: The gas alarm device X is composed in such a manner that until a third predetermined time elapses after power is applied, it regulates a control mechanism 14 so as not to activate a delaying mechanism 11, that during that time, if it detects a gas to be detected and the concentration of the gas exceeds a predetermined level, it gives an alarm by a warning mechanism 12 in a time shorter than a first predetermined time, that if it detects gas again and the concentration of the gas exceeds the predetermined level after the warning by the warning mechanism 12, it gives an alarm by the warning mechanism 12 in a time shorter than the first predetermined time, and blocks a supply channel 20 of the gas by a blocking mechanism 13 in a time shorter than a second predetermined time, and that after the third predetermined time elapses after power is applied, it regulates the control mechanism 14 so as to activate the delaying mechanism 11.
