PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot and cold water drain plug for draining hot water and water so that the hot water does not enter the outflow port side by one time operation, easy in maintenance, reducing cost, reducing stagnant water, or preventing the stagnant water from being mixed in a hot water supply pipe. SOLUTION: The hot water from a hot water receiving port 32 is drained by three methods : (1) the hot water is drained from a valve casing 10 by separating annular packing 20 to 24 brought into close contact with the uppermost end cylinder 15 of the valve casing 10, and a backflow preventive valve 36 is arranged in the hot water receiving port 32 so that the hot water in a pipe 27 is not mixed in the hot water supply pipe, and (2) a hot water entering port and a hot water appearing port are arranged instead of the hot water receiving port 32, and the hot water from a water heater always flows by passing through the ports, and the hot water is drained into the pipe 27 by a hot water receiving rod connected to a piston 25 via rod 39, and (3) an outflow port 12 is arranged in an aboveground part of the pipe 27, and a hot water drain port 14 and the hot water receiving port 32 are positioned in an upper part, and the hot water is drained outside the pipe 27 from a hot water drain port 14.
