<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the effect of an anti-theft device for a vehicle by improving its reliability by preventing the device from issuing a wrong alarm. <P>SOLUTION: The anti-theft device of the vehicle gives only a warning by light even when a vibration sensor detects the vibration of the vehicle applied from the outside. After that, the anti-theft device does not immediately give a warning even if a motion sensor arranged in the vehicle detects an intruder, but gives a warning first by making a warning sound for one second. And then, the anti-theft device ignores the detected signal even if the signal is received for six seconds. After seven seconds, the anti-theft device gets on the alert. When the anti-theft device does not receive new detected signals within ten seconds, the anti-theft device returns to a standby state. When the anti-theft device receives new detected signals, the anti-theft device makes the warning sound for 20 seconds. Thus, the warning sound is made based on a plurality of detecting times.
