PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparison circuit having a reduced through-current further enabling reduction of the through-current in a circuit connected in the succeeding stage. SOLUTION: An amplifier circuit in the comparison circuit includes an amplifier for outputting a digital signal, by amplifying an input analog signal, having a predetermined potential in a predetermined first time duration and a different potential from the predetermined potential in a predetermined second time duration; a first switch for suspending power supply to the amplifier, during the first time duration; and a second switch for fixing the amplifier output to the predetermined potential, during the first time duration.
