PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acupuncture and moxibustion instrument which pierces an acupuncture point accurately with a needle point without supporting a needle body with a hand and prevents infection of a pierced site by pressing and stretching the skin of the needle body pierced site and continuing to pierce without the direct contact with the skin by the fingers. SOLUTION: The acupuncture and moxibustion instrument is equipped with a leg part 3 having three leg pieces 32 at the lower end part of an outer cylinder 4 of a needle tube 2 accommodating a needle 1 to move in the axial direction. The leg part 3 is made of a synthetic resin with prescribed elasticity. Each leg piece 32 protrudes slantingly to expand outward against the axial line of the outer cylinder 4. The skin H near the needle body pierced site is pressed at a prescribed pressure with a horizontal part 33 located at the end of each leg piece 32 and abutting on and pressing the skin H of a subject. The skin H of the needle body pierced site is pressed and stretched radially to the outside from the needle body pierced site as the center because of the leg piece 32 bent by the elasticity.
