PURPOSE: An open type motor using a rolled steel plate is provided to cool a stator core as well as a stator coil by forming an air room at one side of a frame close to a stator core. CONSTITUTION: An open type motor using a rolled steel plate includes a cylindrical frame, a plurality of brackets, a shaft, a rotor, a stator core, and a stator coil. The brackets(20) are installed at both ends of the cylindrical frame(10) in order to circulate the external air to the inside of the frame through an inlet. The shaft(30) is installed at the brackets. The rotor(40) is inserted into a center of the shaft. The stator core(50) is installed on an inner circumference of the cylindrical frame. The stator coil(60) is wound around the stator core. An air room is formed at contact parts between the frame and the stator core. The width of the air room is wider than the width of the stator core. A plurality of outlets are formed at the air room.
