PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the width dimension of a narrow width prepreg tape to be laminated, to exchange the narrow width prepreg tape in a short time, and to efficiently perform a plane lamination of the narrow width prepreg tape, in the plane lamination of the narrow width prepreg. SOLUTION: This method for changing the width of the prepreg and automatically laminating it comprises appropriately selecting the narrow width prepreg tape with a required width dimension either among a number of prepreg cassettes storing prepreg drums in which the narrow width prepreg tapes of unidirectional materials and/or cross-laminated materials slitted into various width dimensions are respectively wound, or from a rack storing in the lump the prepreg drums, feeding it to a laminating head, and performing the plane lamination into a required shape by the laminating head.
