PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit for an air-conditioning system with a cooling medium evaporator having a planar tank side wall, allowing effective drain of condensed water between a tank portion and a tank supporting portion while maintaining secure assembly of the cooling medium evaporator and the tank supporting portion. SOLUTION: In the cooling unit for the air-conditioning system, the tank supporting portion 120 is mounted on the tank portion 116 on the lower side of the cooling medium evaporator 110 and stored in a cooler case 130 having a drain hole 131. The side wall 116a of the tank portion 116 is planarly formed and a vertical wall 121 of the tank supporting portion 120 opposite to the side wall 116a abuts on the side wall 116a.
