<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sales forecasting of a new store and forecasting accuracy of a trading area spatial structure by estimating a trading area spatial structure of an existing store of a business type and category with a competitive relationship by using a GIS. <P>SOLUTION: The trading area analysis system 10 has a DB editing part 11, a simulation part 12, a display/analyzing part 13, a regional statistics DB 14 storing statistical information regarding consumers per each area of precedently prepared map data divided by specified conditions, and a store DB 15 storing pieces of store information including at least several of store names, salesroom areas, coordinates indicating locations, and sales performance values per business category. In the trading area analysis system 10, by specifying a target area for trading area analysis on the map data and carrying out simulation with respect to each store included in the specified target area, a parameter of a predetermined probability model is determined so that it is approximate to a sales performance value stored in the store DB 15, and the sales forecasting and the trading area spatial structure of the new store are forecasted by using the probability model with the determined parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
