PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent composition which has an excellent detergency and of which the influence on the environment is sufficiently considered. SOLUTION: The detergent composition contains (A) an ampholytic surfactant, (B) an anionic surfactant, (C) mono-2-ethylhexyl glyceryl ether or mono-2-ethylhexanoic acid glyceride, and (D) water.
