PURPOSE: A method for monitoring quality of flash butt welding is provided to allow a user to easily predict quality of a welding object by monitoring the quality of the welding object. CONSTITUTION: Parameters, such as welding voltage, welding current, and a position of a moving table, are measured and monitored when a flash butt welding process is carried out. Quantity of heat input per unit volume of the parameters is calculated and a calculated value of the heat input is displayed as a spectrum form in such a manner that uniformity of a welding section is predicted. The heat input is calculated according to the following equation. Q=0.24I2Rt=0.24/vT, wherein I is current, R is resistance, V is voltage, and t is time.
