PURPOSE: A power circuit and a power supply of a plasma display panel provided with the same are provided to suppress the generation of heat in the power factor compensation circuit by reducing the power factor compensation FET duty used at the power factor compensation circuit. CONSTITUTION: A power circuit includes a rectifier(21), a detector(22), a comparison circuit(23) and a power factor compensation circuit. The rectifier(21) converts the input alternative voltage into the rectified direct voltage. The detector(22) generates the detection voltage by detecting the rectified direct voltage. The comparison circuit(23) generates the selection signal by comparing the detection voltage with the reference voltage inputted from outside. And, the power factor compensation circuit outputs the output direct voltage by correcting the voltage conversion and power factor for the rectified direct voltage in response to the selection signal. |
