PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect operation of a change lever 8 in a shift direction and a select direction with a same detection switch 18. SOLUTION: A horizontal shaft 10 is rotatably supported between both side walls 2a, 2b of a casing 2 and the change lever 8 inserted in the casing from an upper part is connected to the same with a pin 12. The change lever 8 can turn around an axial line thereof together with the horizontal shaft 10 and can turn in an axial line direction of the horizontal shaft 10. A detection switch 18 is provided on one wall surface 2a supporting the horizontal shaft 10 and a detection arm 14 rotates as one body with the horizontal shaft 10 blocks a photo interrupter 24 in the detection switch 18 to detect a shift position. For operation of the change lever 8 in the select direction, a switch lever 32 rotating in a horizontal plane by the change lever 8 blocks another photo interrupter 26 in the detection switch 18 to detect select position.
