PURPOSE: Provided is a cooling summer fabric which has a small skin-contact area while excellently inhibiting the elevation in the body temperature with quick drying and moisture absorption properties, and is well adapted for use in making sports and summer wears. CONSTITUTION: The cooling summer fabric is based on a knitted fabric with a double-layered structure, and has a natural prominent and depressed pattern by alternately arranging fineness-differentiated yarns at a backside layer. The backside layer has a macrofiber layer(3) formed with a hydrophobic polyolefin or polyethylene fiber, and a microfiber layer(4) formed with a polyester modified cross-section fiber. The fineness of the macrofiber layer is greater than the fineness of the microfiber yarn by 1.3-7 times. The fiber for the backside layer has a thermal conductivity of 8 or less.
