PURPOSE: An external battery pack accompanying the power interface by using a host system and a USB is provided, to allow the pack to be applied to all electronic devices irrespective of outer shape or kind of internal circuits. CONSTITUTION: The external battery pack comprises a secondary battery part(10) which receives generating elements for the supply of electric power and is rechargeable; a safety control part(20) which controls the safety of the secondary battery part; a battery management part(30) which is connected with the safety control part and to measures and observes the charge/discharge state, voltage, current, temperature and capacity of the secondary battery part and to store and report the obtained result; a charging control part(40) which is connected with the battery management part and the safety control part to control the charging from the input of an alternating current from outside; a DC/DC conversion part(50) which controls the input voltage and input current from the battery management part to a host system to allow the power to be supplied to the host system; and an interface part(60) which is connected with the battery management part and receives the input voltage and input current of the host system via a universal serial bus (USB) to transmit them to the DC/DC conversion part.
