<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system capable of collecting a charge for the use of contents without using charge settlement utilizing a credit card even when the contents are not registered in a site managed by a communication enterprise and enabling a user to easily select contents. <P>SOLUTION: In the contents distribution system comprising a portable terminal for displaying contents, a contents server for transmitting the contents to the portable terminal through a communication network, a group of download cards in which identification codes corresponding to respective contents are written, and a certificate server for certifying each identification code, an identification code written in a certain download card is different from other identification codes and the certificate server permits the transmission of contents corresponding to one identification code transmitted from the portable terminal only once. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
