PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube funnel in which a body of the funnel is formed into a shape suitable for press forming and which is advantageous in rigidity. SOLUTION: The cathode-ray tube funnel comprises a body that has a relation of d <α(z) < 90, when an angle at which a maximum outline D(z) of the outer surface and /or inner surface of the body at an arbitrary cross section P(z) in parallel with the opening end becomes a major axis (LA) around an axial center (C) isα(z)°, and an angle at which a diagonal axis (DA) becomes the major axis (LA) is d°.
