PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fuel container which has excellent fuel barrier properties and excellent impact resistance and improved moldability. SOLUTION: The fuel container comprises a modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer which comprises 0.3-40 mol % of a structural formula (I) and has 5-50 mol % ethylene content. Preferably the fuel container composed of a laminate having a layer made of the modified ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (C) and a polyolefin layer is produced by blow molding or thermoforming.
