PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components by constituting both of a head elevating mechanism and a part of an eject mechanism slidable and using one or two or more components in common, and also to miniaturize a whole device. SOLUTION: This disk recording reproducing apparatus is furnished with a cartridge holder 4 whereon a disk cartridge 18 is detachably mounted, the head elevating mechanism 60 for making a recording head 23 for recording the information signal on an optical disk approach to or separate from an information recording surface of the optical disk, and the eject mechanism for ejecting the disk cartridge 18 from the cartridge holder 4. On the head elevating mechanism 60, a first slide member 50 is arranged for generating the head elevating operation by transmitting a force with the sliding operation, and a second slide member 62 is arranged on the eject mechanism for generating the ejecting operation by transmitting the force with the sliding operation, then the first slide member 50 and the second slide member 62 are piled up and slidably supported by the cartridge holder 4.
