PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type nickel zinc primary cell prevented from the degradation of a discharging capacity at intermittent discharging at specific load resistance or a specific current value without damaging high-rate discharge characteristics. SOLUTION: Of the sealed type nickel zinc primary cell having an inside-out structure containing at least a positive electrode with a nickel high-order oxide as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode with zinc or its alloy as a negative electrode active material, a separator, and electrolyte liquid in a metal vessel, cellophane is used as a part of a separator sheet of the separator.
