PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable inspecting of a foreign matter under a phosphor as well as a color mixture and a missing color defect of the phosphor. SOLUTION: When inspecting a work (PDP) 10 to be inspected in which phosphors for emitting each color of RGB, respectively, are arranged, a camera 20 images the work 10 to input an inspecting image by irradiating an ultraviolet light supplied from a UV light source 36 at an angle by a light guide 22 to a prescribed inspection position on the work 10.
