An adjustable height toilet comprises a base, a bowl movably mounted to the base between a lowered position and a raised position, and a lid movably mounted from a closed through an intermediate to a raised position. The toilet is further responsive to movement of the lid to cause the toilet to assume a closed state, in which said bowl is maintained in the lowered position; to assume an intermediate state in which the bowl is raised relative to the base; and to assume a raised state in which the bowl is maintained at a user selected height relative to the base. |
