PURPOSE: A power transmission mode conversion method of a washing machine is provided to prevent damage of parts from failure of mode conversion by finishing switching the mode with rotating the cam continuously in inputting the off-signal, and to restrict lowering of performance by generating torque optimally during washing. CONSTITUTION: The demand of switching into the pulsator mode is detected(S31), and a switch is detected to be turned on by rotating a cam with driving a clutch motor(S32,S33). The AC power input pulse number is counted and compared with the reference value(S34), and the clutch motor is stopped in case of the AC power input pulse number to be over the reference value(S35). The switch is detected to be turned off by driving the clutch motor and rotating the cam for dehydrating(S37). The AC power input pulse number is counted and compared with the reference value in turning off the switch(S38), and the clutch motor is stopped in case of the AC power input pulse number to be over the reference value(S39). |
