<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce tibia/percussion type timbre in a precise manner with a digital sound source. <P>SOLUTION: During a first key-on time, channels having the same number of sounds being simultaneously generated are secured in an assignment memory 61 and a common envelope is raised. One channel among the channels being assigned is set so as to be ready to generate sound and the other channels are set in their sounding preparation states. The sounding preparation states are made by setting an F number or volume to zero. During a second key-on time, one of the sounding systems being in the sounding preparation states is switched to a sounding ready state by returning the F number or the volume to a normal value. When sounding by the first key-on is stopped by a key-off, the sounding by the key-on after the second key-on is also stopped. An evading means is provided so that the sounding systems in a preparation state are not assigned by the sounding instruction of other timbre being generated later. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
