摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quickly and simply connecting optical waveguides with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An optical waveguide connector 100 is constituted of a first wall 123 and a second wall 124 of an optical waveguide device 101, a third wall 133 and a fourth wall 134 constituting a member joined to a rear edge side of the optical waveguide device 101, an optical fiber 2 and a photosetting filler 143. Ends of the optical fiber 2 are arranged on a first wall 123 surface in parallel to each other, a second wall 124 surface is arranged on the ends of the optical fiber 2. A third wall 133 surface is adhered to the first wall 123 surface, the third wall 133 has a first part projected from end faces of the first wall and the second wall and has a second part projected from other end faces of the first wall and the second wall. A fourth wall surface is adhered to the second wall surface, the fourth wall has a first part projected from end faces of the first wall and the second wall and has a second part projected from other end faces of the first wall and the second wall. The optical fiber 2 is extended between a part of the third wall and a part of the fourth wall and the photosetting filler is arranged between the third wall, the fourth wall and the optical fiber. Further the first wall, the second wall, the third wall and the fourth wall form a slot 245 for mechanically coupling the end faces of the optical fiber 2 to the corresponding end faces of a plurality of waveguides or the optical fiber 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p>
