DATA STORAGE DEVICE, ITS CORRECTING MECHANISM, AND DATA READ-OUT CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read out data corresponding to variation of a phase of a read-out signal even when data is recorded in a magnetic recording medium in a state in which a phase is deviated. SOLUTION: This device is a compensating mechanism mounted in a data storage device such as a magnetic disk device, a phase of a read-out signal obtained by reading out information recorded in a recording medium is detected by a phase detector 14, a read-clock for converting this read-out signal to desired data is generated by a VCO 23, while the device is provided with a phase correction unit 24, controls the VCO 23 based on a phase of a read-out signal detected by the phase detector 14, and corrects a phase of this read-clock so as to match with a phase of the read-out signal.
