Production of a turbine blade comprises producing a casting (10') having the basic form of the turbine blade in a casting mold, and machining the casting to produce the turbine blade. A change in flow angle for optimization of the turbine is achieved using the same casting mold and an adapted machining process. Preferred Features: During machining the casting mold is held in a holder and rotated, and the reference points for the machining process are repositioned.
