The valve for discharge of liquid manure or slurry has two hose nipples with a flexible hose length between them. There is a pneumatic connector (16,18) for pressure air feed between the inner and outer walls (2,3) of the hose to control the cross section of the hose bore and the liquid flow rate. The walls of the hose are retained on the nipples by clamp rings.
