PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-reducing plate capable of illuminating flashlight onto a photographing range with a photographically satisfactory light distribution. SOLUTION: A light-reducing plate 16 is disposed in such a way that the plate 16 is freely movable between a light shielding position where it covers part of a stroboscopic section 10 in front of the section 10 and a retracting position retracted from the front face of the section 10. The light-reducing plate 16 covers a central part of the stroboscopic section 10 in its lengthwise direction so that flashlight is illuminated from upper and lower ends of the section 10 and openings in the plate 16 onto a photographing range. The width of both ends of the plate 16 in its lengthwise direction is smaller than the width of a central part. Two openings have been made in the central part of the plate 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
