PURPOSE: A method for managing asynchronous performance value records of an optical transmission device is provided to accord a substantial performance value collecting time with a display time, and to use the substantial performance value collecting time as a time stamp, thereby improving accuracy of the performance value collecting time. CONSTITUTION: When a performance value collecting timer is operated(S311), a control unit(202) requests a performance value of a unit(201)(S312). The unit(201) transmits the requested performance value to the control unit(202)(S313). The control unit(202) manages a performance value receiving time by stamping the receiving time(S314). When a performance value record reporting timer is operated(S315), the control unit(202) transmits accumulated performance values to a central control unit(203) with a time stamp(S316). If an operator(208) requests performance value records(S317), the central control unit(203) outputs collected performance value records to the operator(208)(S318).
